Our practice

Stewart founded the practice in 1985 graduating from Scott Sutherland School of Architecture in Aberdeen. Stewart has led the practice since inception joined by Alan Baxter in the early years. Building a practice, which is forward thinking, with creativity being central to our ethos + approach to the built solution combined with technical expertise.

With over 35 Years of professional experience as an RIBA and RIAS chartered practice with ARB Accreditation. The practice puts client’s needs and aspirations at the centre of our design process.

Our vision

Beyond our relentless focus on refining design ideas in a drive to create beautiful, high performance, cost effective + low energy buildings and interiors.

Our work also feeds into our broader vision in creating a more sustainable society and transforming spaces. 
The practice is a member of SEDA (The Scottish Ecological Design Association) with a Passivhaus within our portfolio.
As a practice philosophy we are progressively becoming more Involved in more sustainably minded projects which will assist in addressing climate concerns.

Our vision extends to all facets of our work in both Architecture + Interior Design. The practice is an ALTIUS Accredited business with the status required to maintain client relationships with our commercial client base.

Our numbers

As a small and growing multi-disciplined practice, our staff enjoy an informal working environment where self-motivation, autonomy and responsible self-allocation of tasks are valued. The whole team are engaged in the design process with our clients, to achieve successful project outcomes.
With projects ranging in value from £30k - £25 million we cover all aspects of the design process from inception through to completion on site.
